Responsibilities
Content & Brand Strategy Leadership
- Lead the strategic vision for content marketing, brand development, messaging, and communications across the agency’s portfolio of client accounts, ensuring all initiatives align with business objectives and drive measurable growth.
- Develop comprehensive content and brand strategies that support lead generation, customer acquisition, engagement, retention, customer loyalty, and long-term revenue growth across the full customer journey.
- Guide brand positioning, messaging frameworks, value propositions, voice and tone development, audience segmentation, and competitive differentiation initiatives that help clients stand out in crowded markets.
- Serve as the primary strategic advisor for content and brand initiatives, helping clients define how they communicate their value, connect with target audiences, and strengthen their market presence.
- Ensure consistency, effectiveness, and strategic alignment across all brand and content touchpoints, including websites, landing pages, advertising campaigns, email marketing, social media, video, thought leadership content, sales enablement materials, public relations initiatives, and traditional marketing assets.
- Develop content frameworks and messaging strategies that support both brand-building efforts and performance marketing objectives, ensuring content contributes to measurable business outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen client brands through strategic storytelling, content innovation, audience research, customer insights, and evolving market trends.
- Partner closely with SEO, Paid Media, Email, Social Media, Web, and Account Management teams to create integrated marketing strategies that maximize the impact of content across every channel.
- Champion the use of emerging technologies, including AI-powered content and research tools, to improve efficiency, accelerate execution, uncover new opportunities, and enhance the quality and scalability of content production.
- Stay at the forefront of industry trends, consumer behavior, content marketing best practices, search evolution, AI-driven content technologies, and emerging communication channels to ensure clients remain competitive in an ever-changing digital landscape.
- Establish content and brand standards, strategic frameworks, and best practices that elevate the quality, consistency, and effectiveness of work delivered across the organization.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of content strategists, copywriters, content creators, editors, and contractors
- Establish content standards, editorial processes, quality assurance frameworks and best practices
- Provide coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities that elevate the quality and effectiveness of content across the organization
- Support recruiting, hiring, onboarding and team growth initiatives
- Foster a collaborative, accountable and performance-driven culture focused on continuous improvement
Content Creation & Editorial Oversight
- Oversee the creation and execution of content across websites, blogs, landing pages, advertising campaigns, email marketing, social media, video scripts, sales collateral, thought leadership content and other marketing initiatives
- Ensure all content aligns with client objectives, brand standards, audience needs and channel-specific best practices
- Review and approve content deliverables to maintain quality, consistency, accuracy and strategic alignment
- Guide editorial calendars, content roadmaps and campaign messaging strategies
- Ensure content is optimized for engagement, search visibility, conversion and overall performance
Performance-Focused Content Leadership
- Partner closely with SEO, Paid Media, Email, Web, Social Media, and Account Management teams to develop integrated marketing strategies
- Use performance data, audience insights, competitive analysis and customer research to inform content recommendations and optimization efforts
- Develop content frameworks that support both brand-building and revenue-generating initiatives
- Identify opportunities to improve lead quality, conversion rates, customer engagement and campaign performance through strategic content development
- Establish KPIs and measurement frameworks that demonstrate the impact of content and brand initiatives on business outcomes
Client Leadership
- Serve as a senior strategic advisor for content, messaging, and brand initiatives across key client relationships
- Lead brand workshops, messaging sessions, content strategy presentations and stakeholder discussions
- Translate complex business objectives into clear, compelling messaging and content strategies
- Provide strategic recommendations that help clients strengthen their market position and competitive differentiation
- Build strong client relationships through proactive communication, collaboration, and thought leadership
- Identify opportunities to expand client engagements through additional content, branding and strategic marketing initiatives
Operational Excellence
- Oversee content planning, resource allocation, project prioritization and department capacity management
- Develop scalable systems, workflows, and processes that improve efficiency, consistency and content quality
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and aligned with client expectations
- Maintain content playbooks, messaging frameworks, brand guidelines, editorial standards and documentation
- Continuously evaluate department performance and identify opportunities to improve productivity, effectiveness, and output quality
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience in graphic design, digital design, creative services, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience leading creative teams, departments or agency design functions
- Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise across digital marketing, advertising, branding, web design, landing pages, email marketing and social media creative
- Deep understanding of design principles, user experience, visual storytelling and brand development
- Experience collaborating with performance marketing teams and creating assets designed to drive measurable business results
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma and other modern design tools
- Experience managing multiple projects, priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to confidently engage clients and stakeholders
- Experience developing creative processes, workflows and quality assurance standards
- Strong leadership, organizational and project management abilities
- Passion for mentoring creative talent and building high-performing teams
- Ability to balance creativity, strategy, operational efficiency and business objectives
