Smart Calls for Smooth-Running Shoots

Let’s break this change down. What’s happening Our video team made the ambitious decision to do a two-in-one shoot, working with Swift Bros to get two video commercials done in one day. Our Director of Photography, Eric Hilse, weighs in: “There’s a lot of things that go into a single commercial, so doing both of those on the same day [means] you have to be really organized with logistics.” 

Luckily, our TriMark Productions crew is highly skilled at planning out complex shoots and adapting to changes in circumstances as they come. We used the same set, which allowed us to cut down on the budget by utilizing the same location, talent, and crew. This also resulted in a streamlined experience, efficiently completing the job without wasting a second.

A Testament to Great Communication

When you’re working with a client as involved as Swift Bros, it makes for a smooth day of shooting. According to writer/director Brandon Clarke, a huge plus was “the clear and direct communication from the client, from discovery to what their challenges and goals were. By the time we get on set, everybody is on the same page. It makes production and post-production seamless.” 

One aspect of the entire process that shone? The quick turnaround time. Thanks to great communication all around, it was just two to three weeks between the approved concept and the day of the shoot.
