According to a new survey conducted by MercantCircle.com, SEO is valued the most out of all marketing channels by small business owners. Over 2,500 small businesses were surveyed and 32.9% said that if they had to put all of their marketing time and budget into only one channel, they would choose SEO. Traditional media came in 2nd with 19.7%, which includes newspapers, yellow pages, direct mail, radio, etc.

70% of the respondents also stated that Facebook was currently their main marketing tool in promoting their business. Of these 2,500 surveyors, 63% had annual marketing budgets of $2,500 or less and 80% were businesses with fewer than 4 employees.
